SRT engines are built for power, and it shows. The 6.4L HEMI I have in my Challenger packs a serious punch, and the torque is addicting. Acceleration is smooth, and it feels like the car just wants to keep going. My only complaint is the fuel consumption—it’s pretty brutal if you’re driving spiritedly. But for the performance you’re getting, it’s hard to complain too much.

There’s no denying the SRT engine is a powerhouse. It’s fast, it sounds amazing, and it makes driving so much fun. That being said, maintenance is no joke. Oil changes, brake replacements, and other upkeep costs can add up quickly, especially if you’re pushing the engine regularly. It’s an incredible engine, but make sure you’re ready for the extra expense that comes with all that power.

The SRT engine makes even a trip to the grocery store exciting. I have the Hellcat’s 707-hp engine, and it’s ridiculous in the best way possible. The acceleration literally takes your breath away, and the sound of the exhaust is a symphony of raw power. People always turn their heads when I roll by. If you’re on the fence about upgrading to an SRT, just do it. You won’t regret it.
